What is the easiest and quickest way to change a melody from a rhythm of :4: :4: :4: :4: to :8: :4.: :8: :4.: whilst keeping the pitches of the melody the same? Cheers ceg

I do think there will be any quick way. You will just need to suck it up and change it by hand. That being said, you might try highlighting all of the notes and then try to change them to all eight notes and then move stuff around.

How many bars do you need to change?

SOS from the beginning

SOS was formed 15 years ago as a result of SIBmus (Sibelius Music) ceasing to exist. SOS is intended to fill this gap by providing a platform that allows fellow composers and musicians to communicate. In the intervening period SOS has expanded to include competitions and provide a conduit between budding composers and publishers of music. My vision is that SOS will continue to be a useful site long into the future and that it will grow its reputation as a friendly and informative place for musicians to exchange their musical thoughts and ideas.
