Feature Requests (urgent)

Hello everybody,

please post all the feature-requests and ideas you got to improve Sibelius here.

Please note: Time is money...

So I can only forward requests coming along within the next 3 days.

The wishlist has to be finished soon to present it at the NAMM.

So, hurry up, that's a great chance to make them listen...

For me packaging Sibelius with EWQL Gold would be good

Isn't the most urgent request some sort of guarantee of the future stability and development of sibelius? It has lost its development team and they have not found cheap labour to replace them in the Ukraine, where they advertised for programmers.
Apart from that, sibelius should be able to copy and paste over triplet passages, which it cant do.

Well, I am not attending NAMM but I am part of some sort of an "inner circle" to collect ideas and requests.

Unfortunately I am not allowed to tell more than this.

But the existance of the circle initiated by Avid gives some hope....

• Native support of quarter tone playback. Currently one has to run a plugin to set a bunch of pitch bend commands.
  
• Sound Set for Garritian World Instruments
  
• More Sound Sets in general.
  
• Better support for engraving (not so concern about playback) of "advanced modern" notations. See the following for examples of what I mean:

Can I use your score as a screenshot to show what is meant by modern notation? Would be helpful...

Caveat: I'm a professional software engineer and amateur musician.

I'd like an alternative to ManuScript, which is not a great language. Being able to write plug-ins in a modern language like Python or Ruby would be much better, and making the internal (C++?) API public so developers could attach their own choice of language would be better still.

I have posted this request but I guess they wont pay too much attention to it. The API would be very interesting being that I am controlling my keyboard and my mouse via LUA which can handle all kind of C and C++ functions, methods and procedures. Simple things, okay, but very helpful ie. reading the clipboard, manipulate the value and give it back to the clipboard.
