For a few years now I am using a modified equipment ie. computer-keyboard, mouse and an advanced keypad.
Now I want to share my experience.
Well, those keyboards and the mouse help me saving up to 30-40% of time working with sibelius.
The main-keyboard is the logitech G510.

It comes along with 18 extra-keys (so-called G-keys) where one can assign all sorts of macros and keystrokes.
These G-keys are organized in 3 banks that one have 3 dif. setups of macros.
I myself have 1 setup for input, 1 for cleaning up the score and part and 1 for pagelayout.
Example 1: When entering notes I don't want to use the mouse. To enter a cresc-hairpin I press a G-key and the following happens:
mark 5 notes (I have macros for 3, 4, 5 and 6) - input [ < ] - go back where I was before to continue entering notes....
Example 2:
A measuse in 5/8 is set to 2-3 and I want to change it to 3-2
The macro will do the following:
Open the dialog-box - set beams to 3,2 - close it via "ok"
Everything you can do with the computer-keyboard can be programmed easily as a macro and then assign to a single G-key.
The advanced keypad is the G13.
It comes along with 22 G-keys, a joystick and 2 thumb-keys.

I am using this keyboard for entering notes, accents, trills, etc.
The joystick is very cool for navigating ( prev. bar, next bar, system up/down).
The thumb-keys are a assigned to [cntrl. + z]
and
[y] - deselect everything + [spacebar]
which means play everything from the selected bar.
At least the mouse G700

The G700 has 4 G-keys on the upper side and 4 thumb-keys.
This is very cool for layouting. You don't have to leave the mouse for common things ie. magnetic layout n/off - hide/show - enharmonic -
and so on....
Please note this is NOT a commercial campagne - I simply am very happy about this stuff being that I can work very comfortable in a time-safing way. I can't imaging how I have done my jobs before.
Okay, this is Gamer-stuff but it works perfect with other applications.
