It will be performed and recorded.

I realise that everyone here is capable of some really good music. Trust me, it is quite difficult to write something that is quite simple and yet musically satisfying. It can be done.

Also the short deadline is a "real-world" scenario. Sometimes short deadlines occur. I know this from experience !

I am not familiar with what "Ability level UK Grade 1/2" means. Could somebody elaborate?

Hm. I started a score with the instrumentation Kevin specified, and I've got 25 seconds of something now... hm.... but still not any ideas about how to involve all the instrument groups and develop the theme. But maybe something that will be fun and easy to play and hindemith-edly lightly bartok-ishly interesting to hear.

Early learners is what I would call them. Basic note values, simple rhythms, easy keys (F/G), etc...

Too bad this challenge comes at an ill-timed moment for me. I'm skipping it... Yet who knows? It took me three days to write the Christmas piece.

Haha I guess I should write something easy for them, then, such as a direction to drop their instrument on the ground.
