I know that Adrian has already given word on another forum about the passing of fellow composer, Per-Eric Rosqvist. I wanted to come in here and leave a few words of my own.
Per-Eric was not only a musical colleague of mine but a very close (online) friend. Throughout some very difficult and lonely moments, Per was always there for me, reaching out to me and doing everything he could to include me in musical discussions and projects. Aside from the personal connection, I wish to say that Per left us with a multitude of his absolutely beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful compositions. Per had a different approach to composing which, I think, may leave it not easy to have those compositions notated/engraved. I'm not completely sure about that but that's what I think. Per was very multi-visionary in his approach to composing and in his never-ending quest to learn. His compositions are probably much more complex than you would think because, like Mozart, he was absolutely melodic and while some of those melodies may seem simple, I very much doubt that they actually are so.
I worked with Per for a time on an "opera" that, I think, is unfinished. Per did approach an opera company with his idea and the response was positive. I still have all the files from that project and if I can ever manage it, I may try to somehow see it through to its completion.
Finally, to any of you who knew him in any way, please kindly leave a word or two in this thread. It would mean the world to him.
